Nimbus Data’s Gemini flash storage systems are designed for high performance applications including virtual server and virtual desktop applications. All current generation Nimbus Data systems provide support for multiple protocols, supporting both file and block storage. Basic data protection and capacity management features are included with the embedded storage device.

System capacity is included within the first 2U enclosure. Nimbus systems utilize eMLC NAND flash for all permanent storage with DRAM used as a cache to further enhance performance. Nimbus offers a scale-out implementation of their solid state technology called Gemini X that is capable of scaling to 10 Flash Nodes with two Flash Directors controlling access and load balancing.
