Mr. Kerns will lead the foundation to benefit undergraduate funding for engineering, architecture and science
Boulder, CO, January 04, 2012: The Triangle Education Foundation recently announced the appointment of Randy Kerns as the Chairman of the Foundation. Randy Kerns continues his role as the Senior Strategist for Evaluator Group adding his professional leadership to as chairman of the Foundation. The Triangle Education Foundation is an Illinois charitable organization that helps fund and support education and leadership programs for undergraduate members pursuing engineering, architecture and science academic curriculums. As Chairman of the Foundation, Kerns will guide the organization that manages ongoing charitable activities.
In addition to investing in the academic success and persistence necessary for tomorrow’s leaders, the Triangle Education programs are intended provide guidance in making decisions based on their strongly held values.
“I find that in the industry, those with technical knowledge and leadership skills become outstanding industry leaders,” said Randy Kerns. “Enabling students in these technical disciplines to gain leadership knowledge benefits industry and society.”
Mr. Kerns joins senior executive leadership from Baxter Healthcare, BP America, HP/ Compaq and the US Navy as board leadership of the Triangle Education Foundation. Members of the Foundation Board are selected based on their outstanding success in their careers and communities and their ability to provide guidance and direction for the organization. This is Mr. Kerns second time to lead the board.
Randy Kerns earned a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science from the University of Missouri at Rolla and a master’s degree in engineering computer science from the University of Colorado. Prior to his role as Senior Analyst at Evaluator Group, Kerns served in executive positions and lead engineering teams at ProStor, Sun Microsystems and StorageTek where he brought products numerous data storage products to market.
